WhatsApp is working on new feature of WhatsApp file sharing from android to android or android to iphone. The feature known as “Share files with people nearby,” is currently in development and aims to streamline the process of sharing files across different platforms.
WhatsApp this surprising new feature for wireless file sharing between devices is good addition. This feature is designed to work seamlessly when devices are close to each other aiming to simplify file sharing between Android and iPhone devices. The beta version (126.96.36.199) of WhatsApp for Android includes a file-sharing feature for nearby devices.
To use it, both users need to have the People Nearby screen open. Without the other person’s phone number nearby, their devices won’t be visible. Initiating a file-sharing request involves opening the People Nearby screen and shaking the device. This upcoming function supports file sizes up to 2GB and is currently undergoing internal testing with a potential release later this year.
It seems most useful for WhatsApp file sharing from android to android or android to iphone, while other native file-sharing methods (Quick Share and AirDrop) may be more straightforward and faster in different scenarios. Notably, Quick Share has recently been integrated with Nearby Share improving ease of use in the Android ecosystem.
