27th December 27 Public Holiday in Sindh is declared by the Sindh Government on Benazir Bhutto’s 16th Anniversary. Sindh province to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto with a public holiday on December 27, marking the 16th anniversary of her death.

In a fitting tribute to the late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, the Sindh caretaker government has declared Wednesday, December 27, 2023, as a public holiday throughout the province. This announcement comes just after another public holiday declared on Monday, December 25, for both the birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Christmas celebrations.

“The Government of Sindh has seen it fit to declare 27th December, 2023 as a Public Holiday throughout the Province of Sindh on the occasion of Shahadat of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed,” stated a notification issued by the caretaker Chief Minister’s spokesperson. The holiday applies to all government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh government, with the exception of essential services.

This marks a solemn day of remembrance for the people of Sindh and beyond who cherish the legacy of Benazir Bhutto. She was the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan.
